"Pre-printed card in blue addressed to The Manager, Stores Department, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, 96-115 Flinders Street, Sydney N.S.W. being request for 1000 Pay Envelopes with Company Name and Address No. 2283/1884 with Sonnerdale Limited 3/11 Bridge Road Petersham NSW and signed by Company with notation ""WHEN COMPLETED THIS CARD ENTITLES YOU TO A FURTHER 1000 PAY ENVELOPES WITHOUT CHARGE"" with 1d Green KGV Stamp Die I cancelled ""ERSKINVILLE/?? 21 AU 31/NSW"" and with blue oval Stores Receiving backstamp ""22 AUG 1931"". Mr. John Sonnerdale, vice-consul for Sweden, died at his home in Bundarra Avenue, Wahroonga,on Thursday (4th January 1945). He was 85.He came to Australia In 1885, and
for 32 years was a marine engineer with Huddart, Parker, Ltd. He founded Sonnerdale Propty., Ltd., Petersham, in 1911, and some years later started the first plant in Australia for the manufacture of Sonnerdale motor car transmission and rear axle gears. The firm is now one of the largest of its kind in the Commonwealth."
