Postmarker BK-16 was placed in service on 1 July 1977 and was used on Transit Registered Mail at various times.. Also used by the Mail Exchange Section at times. Also used on Registered Mail from the PNG Philatelic Bureau following the loss of several PORT MORESBY postmarkers in the 2 May 1982 fire at the Bureau.
