Australian patriotic brooch, probably dating from the end of the second world war, around 1945-6.
Features a Kangaroo over V (for victory) fretted using a silver dipped (?) halfpenny. Fitted with a pin, safety chain and apparently hand-made colour patch attachment. The red part of the colour patch appears to be some sort of coloured glass.
Quite possibly a unique piece.
