These mid to large size seabirds catch fish by undertaking spectacular aerial dives into the ocean, often from considerable heights. The Brown Booby (Sula leucogaster plotus) has a highly distinctive plumage pattern, with chocolate brown upperparts contrasting against white underparts. The Red-footed Booby (Sula sula rubripes) is predominantly white, with distinctive red feet, and a pink and blue bill and throat pouch.
